Sprite Blaster is a tool to create shattering texture animations with low ressource usage. It is used in UnderMine to explode Containers, Rocks, and other objects.
How it works
It uses a special texture called a BlastMap to determine the pattern that it's going to use to break apart your sprite.
What is a BlastMap
Each color defines another “piece” and every piece has a different color. The pieces can be touching, or they can be separated by transparency.[2]
