Soul Guard is a relic item in UnderMine. It costs 1 Minor Curse and 1 Major Curse at Sho'guul's lair.

It reduces the damage taken by 80% and subtracts the remaining value from the Peasant's maximum HP. For example, taking a hit that deals 100 points damage reduces maximum HP by 20.

The max HP reduction is permanent for the rest of the run, even if the relic is sold or placed on the Relic Altar.

Interactions

Positive

  • Obsidian Knife: Does not break since Soul Guard prevents damage from being applied to current HP.
  • Master Pickaxe: The effect cannot be lost after the peasant reaches full health.
  • Ursa Major: Increases health which allows more damage to be taken.
  • Mediocre Ring: Increases health by 10% and also increase damage of swing and throw.
  • Ursine Ring: Increase health by 20%.
  • Iron Branch: Increases health by 10% and increase swing speed and swing damage.
  • Mushroom: Adds 1 hp after each kill.
  • Toughness: Increases maximum health by 30.
  • Fortitude: Reduces incoming damage by 10%.

Negative

  • Frailty: Decreases maximum health by 30.
  • Enfeebled: Decreases maximum health by 60.
  • Vulnerable: Increase incoming damage taken by 20%.
  • Brittleness: Increase incoming damage taken by 10%.
