Major Curses are strong negative status effects that are inflicted on the peasant.
Every major curse is unique and cannot be stacked with itself.
Major curses are seeded - appearing in a random but set order every run.
Major curses can only appear once per run. It is possible to exhaust the game's supply of major curses. If this is achieved, anything that would inflict a major curse on the peasant will become free. Except in the case of 
Witch's Brew where the major curses will be replaced by minor ones.
